University Park is lies within the quiet and friendly community of Park Cities in the heart of Dallas, Texas. It also has a diverse population of young professionals drawn here by the booming local economy. The neighborhood has many homes with similar designs and styles. These homes are mainly bungalows, typically two stories high, with a large front porch. Other notable home designs include ranch houses and two-story brick homes with patios on both levels.

Bush Presidential Center is a most famous attraction, located near the Southern Methodist University campus, featuring exhibits about Bush's life inspired by the principles that directed him in public life, including a poignant memorial to 9-11.
